Biographical summary

Dr. Kevin Wymer is an Assistant Professor of Urology specializing in the medical and surgical management of urinary stone disease and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Dr. Wymer received his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, completed his residency at Mayo Clinic Rochester and then completed an advanced endourology fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wymer is actively involved in research focusing on health services with particular emphasis on cost-comparative analyses, patient reported quality of life outcomes, and financial toxicity among patients undergoing surgical intervention for benign urologic disease. He has received multiple research awards including from the Mayo Clinic Department of Urology, the Western Section of the American Urologic Association, and the Minnesota Urological Society.
